Published on

Officers from Thames Valley Police visited a residential care facility in Witney to educate older people about recognising fraudulent activity and deceptive practices.

PCSO Richardson and PC Leggott delivered a presentation on scam prevention at Millers Grange Care Home.

A representative from Barclays Bank was also present at the event.

During the session, the officers explained how to identify common indicators of scams, discussed the current impact of fraud on individuals, and outlined practical measures residents could take to protect themselves.

Information was provided regarding the support services available to those who fall victim to fraud or who know someone affected by such crimes.

Thames Valley Police confirmed that officers addressed queries from attendees and explored strategies for safeguarding against deceptive individuals.
