A 35-year-old resident of Oxford is being sought by law enforcement officers following his failure to appear at a scheduled court hearing.
Thomas Foster-Barnes, whose address is on Minchery Road in Oxford, failed to attend proceedings at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday, October 1, where he was scheduled to receive sentencing.
Thames Valley Police issued an arrest warrant after the defendant failed to appear before the court.
The individual had been awaiting judgment on two separate charges related to smuggling items into correctional facilities.
The first charge centred on an alleged attempt to introduce, throw or pass a List A controlled article into or out of a prison on behalf of an inmate.
The second charge alleged an attempt to introduce, throw or pass List C controlled articles into a prison with the intention that they reach a prisoner.
Items classified under List A represent the most serious category of prohibited material in prison settings and encompass narcotics, explosive substances and firearms.
Items categorised as List C include tobacco products, currency, lighters and beverages.
