Thames Valley Police have published an image of a cyclist as part of their investigation into an incident in Oxford where an elderly woman sustained injuries after being struck.
The 77-year-old woman was walking along St Mary’s Road when she was involved in a collision with a cyclist at approximately 7.40pm on September 16.
The impact caused the pedestrian to fall, resulting in serious injuries including a fractured rib and lacerations.
She received hospital treatment before being released.
Investigating officers believe the individual shown in the image could possess significant information relevant to their enquiries and are urging the person, or anyone able to identify them, to contact police.
Police constable Jake Schulz stated that officers were keen to speak with the individual pictured, as they may hold crucial details regarding the collision.
He asked that anyone who believed they recognised the person in the image make contact with Thames Valley Police.
He also appealed to witnesses of the incident or anyone possessing information that could support the investigation to come forward.
