People buying groceries at Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Lidl, Tesco and other leading British food stores are being told to check their cupboards after a series of product recalls due to safety concerns.
Several food safety alerts have been triggered across various product types, with the Food Standards Agency telling shoppers not to consume certain items.
A number of active recalls are presently ongoing, affecting products sold at British supermarkets and shops, including particular oat breakfast varieties removed from sale because of possible rodent contamination.
Customers who have bought any of the impacted items should understand the possible health dangers and follow official advice.

Oat breakfast recall
Nine porridge items stocked at major retailers such as Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s are being withdrawn because of possible rodent contamination.
MOMA Foods is pulling various porridge pot and sachet types due to potential mouse contamination at the manufacturing site, making them unsafe to consume.
The Food Standards Agency has told purchasers not to eat the affected goods and instead bring them back to where they were bought for a full reimbursement.
The nine MOMA Foods porridge products affected by this withdrawal, according to its website and the FSA, are:

MOMA Foods indicated that even though the chance of contamination of any of the above products being affected is low, they have taken this precautionary step to ensure the safety of consumers. The business confirmed no other products are affected.
Walkers snack recall
A packet of crisps available at British supermarkets has been recalled by Walkers and shoppers are being told not to eat the affected item.
Walkers is recalling its six-pack of Hot Honey crisps, which can be bought from Tesco, Oocado and other shops, because they might contain a Mild Cheese & Onion flavouring which includes milk and is not correctly labelled.
The company indicated that although this product includes precautionary allergen labelling for milk, milk is not included in the ingredients list and therefore the product poses a risk to people with an allergy to milk.
The affected batch is the six-pack of 25g bags with a best before date of May 16, 2026 and the batch code GBB 584 031.
The Food Standards Agency has warned the product might contain milk, which presents a possible health risk for anyone with a milk allergy or milk intolerance.
The agency added that if you have bought the above product and have an allergy to milk you should not eat it, and instead call the Consumer Care Line on 0800 274 777 or visit contact.pepsico.com/walkers to receive a full refund.
Walkers confirmed that no other batch codes with this best before date are affected.
A PepsiCo spokesperson indicated that they are recalling a specific batch of Walkers Hot Honey 6 x 25g multipacks from specific UK retailers and wholesalers. Some of the packets may contain Mild Cheese & Onion seasoning rather than Hot Honey, meaning the product is incorrectly labelled and may pose a risk to people with an allergy to milk. This applies only to product with the impacted batch code. No other Walkers or PepsiCo products are in scope for this recall. The quality and safety of their products is of paramount importance and they sincerely apologise for the error. They are working with the Food Standards Agency, impacted retailers and allergen groups to inform consumers.
Lidl withdrawal
Lidl has issued an apology to customers after being required to withdraw a snack product.
The store is recalling Snaktastic Multigrain Bites Sour Cream & Black Pepper because they might contain pieces of foil.
The affected packets have a best before date of April 4 and a batch code of 207 345.
A Food Standards Agency spokesperson warned that Lidl GB is recalling the product and customers should return it to their nearest store for a full refund.
