A person walking in Oxford was struck by a Toyota vehicle in the vicinity of University Parks, with the driver leaving the location without stopping.

Thames Valley Police is requesting that anyone who saw what happened or possesses dashboard camera recordings come forward as part of their investigation into the hit-and-run collision that resulted in injuries.

The event took place at 4.30am on Saturday, March 28 at the intersection of Banbury Road and Parks Road in Oxford, adjacent to University Parks.

The individual on foot, who was in their 20s, was struck by a dark-colored Toyota while traversing Banbury Road.

The vehicle operator did not stay at the crash location, and the walker received injuries that required treatment at a hospital, according to Thames Valley Police’s statement on Sunday morning.

Officers have initiated an investigation.

A police representative stated: “We are seeking witnesses or individuals with dash-cam footage following a hit-and-run collision that caused injuries.

A pedestrian in their 20s was hit by a dark-coloured Toyota while crossing Banbury Road near its junction with Parks Road, Oxford.

The Toyota fled the scene of the crash.

The pedestrian suffered minor injuries and received hospital treatment but has since been allowed to leave.
