A resident of Oxfordshire has received a driving prohibition exceeding two years following detection of alcohol levels surpassing the legal threshold by more than triple the amount.

Pawel Damian Otrzasek, residing on Shipton Road in Ascott-Under-Wychwood, Chipping Norton, was intercepted on High Street in Chipping Norton on December 21 of the previous year.

The 47-year-old admitted responsibility for a single charge of operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol during his appearance before magistrates in High Wycombe recently.

Testing revealed breath alcohol content measuring 125 microgrammes per 100 millilitres, substantially exceeding the legal threshold of 35 microgrammes per 100 millilitres.

The court imposed financial penalties comprising £85 in legal costs alongside a £114 victim surcharge. Additionally, compliance with directives from the supervising officer regarding attendance at appointments spanning up to five days was mandated, together with completion of 120 hours of community service within a twelve-month period.

Driving disqualification was set at 30 months, though completion of an approved program by November 6 the following year would permit reduction of the prohibition period by 30 weeks.
