Further Incident

Intelligence from INRIX has confirmed that an additional event has now happened in the same area of the M40.

The report indicated significant delays and very slow traffic resulting from an earlier crash on the M40 northbound from junction 9 A34 (near Bicester) to junction 10 B430 (near Brackley and Cherwell Valley Services).

Following the closure of two lanes, all traffic was halted at 14:35 but movement resumed at approximately 14:50.

The A34 northbound is experiencing hold-ups as queuing traffic is slow to clear. There is now a separate crash on the other carriageway.

UPDATE – 3:40 PM The problem on the M40 northbound between junctions 9 and 10, and southbound between junctions 10 and 9, has now been resolved. Traffic is returning to normal conditions, with residual delays on all approaches. For further details, visit HighwaysEAST.
