Heavy traffic problems are hitting the Cotswolds area as droves of tourists descend for the Easter break.

Tailbacks are reported on the A361 travelling towards Bradwell Grove in the Burford vicinity, with countless cars heading toward the Cotswold Wildlife Park.

Drivers are facing hold-ups at the attraction’s entry points throughout the entire Easter weekend.

Oxfordshire County Council, the highways authority, commented that vehicles are crawling along the A361 in a southerly direction toward Bradwell Grove because of increased numbers heading to the Cotswold Wildlife Park. Extra journey time is being advised.

The AA said queues of motionless vehicles are reaching as far as Signet, which sits halfway between the Burford Roundabout on the A40 and that spot.

The motoring organisation added that the southbound A361 at Hen’n’Chick Lane has vehicles backed up, with conditions typical of holiday travel.

Burford Hill and the High Street are likewise dealing with severe overcrowding during late Saturday morning on April 4.

The zone around Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm, situated between Chipping Norton and Chadlington, is also witnessing substantial volumes of traffic, according to the AA.
