A vehicle cleaning business operating at a football stadium has received a financial penalty for utilizing unauthorized workers.

The establishment, situated at Oxford United’s Kassam Stadium along Grenoble Road, was found to have illegal immigrants employed at its location.

Immigration Enforcement, which released information regarding the car wash, imposed a fine of £90,000 for employment violations.

Elegant Car Wash Ltd bears responsibility for paying the penalty, though a proposal exists to remove the company from Companies House records.

Immigration Enforcement has not disclosed the number of unauthorized workers, their origin, or the specific circumstances surrounding the case.

Three individuals stepped down from director positions between July and October of the previous year: Rebaz Kaisar Saied, Noah Kailo, and Alan Ali.

Requests for statements from JJ’s Car Wash were declined. Oxford United was also asked to provide comment.

The business, which remains shown as operational on Google, has promoted its services for premium and luxury vehicles, including previously featuring a £200,000 Mercedes G63 AMG, a £190,000 Aston Martin DB12, and a £90,000 BMW M4 coupe on its social media platforms.

British employers encountered substantial consequences for hiring individuals lacking lawful work authorization, with civil penalties rising to £45,000 per unauthorized worker for initial violations and up to £60,000 for repeated offences as of February 2024.

Businesses may also face public disclosure, license revocation, and criminal charges potentially resulting in imprisonment.

Although the car wash operates at the Kassam Stadium, there is no indication that Oxford United was involved in or aware of the employment violations.
