Speeding motorist pulled over at 112mph on major road

Published on

A motorist was detected traveling at 112 miles per hour along the M40 highway.

The individual’s identity remains undisclosed after traffic enforcement personnel pulled them over on the roadside close to the Oxford section of the motorway during Easter Sunday.

A law enforcement representative stated the driver was apprehended after passing an unmarked police car at excessive velocity and has been referred to judicial proceedings.

Driving at 112 mph in Britain constitutes a severe transgression, placing the offender in the most severe speeding category (Band C) due to the substantial excess over the 70 mph highway speed restriction.

Those detected face probable immediate license suspension, usually between one to eight weeks, with potential for extended periods in particularly egregious circumstances.

Additionally, six penalty points on the driver’s license are probable, alongside a financial penalty reaching up to 150 percent of the individual’s weekly earnings, capped at £2,500 for highway violations.

Simultaneously, rural law enforcement officers in the Bicester area intercepted a white commercial vehicle hauling a black Mitsubishi Shogun.

Investigators determined the trailer was connected to trailer thefts in Dorset, and the asset was confiscated for further investigative procedures by Dorset authorities.
