A fresh womenswear boutique has launched in an Oxfordshire village, offering customers a curated collection of clothing.

Casa Ru has opened its doors in Bampton, featuring a selection of garments from both rising and established labels.

The business is the brainchild of founder Mimi Gooddy and operates from within Bampton Garden Plants, the family-owned garden centre originally established by her late father, Rupert Gooddy.

Ms Gooddy expressed: “Casa Ru has been a dream of mine for a long time.

“I’ve always loved clothes, and I wanted to create a space where women can find pieces they genuinely feel good in – things they’ll wear and love for years.”

The boutique carries her father’s name and combines her personal journey with a lifelong passion for fashion.

Following her departure from the corporate sector, Ms Gooddy launched the store with an emphasis on enduring, well-made clothing.

The shop carries a variety of independent labels including Rixo, Aspiga, Seventy + Mochi, and Pink City Prints, alongside its own brand.

Certain pieces are produced in India employing traditional printing methods. Casa Ru prioritises quality materials, tailoring and artisanal construction.

With a focus on fabric, fit and craftsmanship, Casa Ru provides an alternative to mass-produced fashion.

Ms Gooddy remarked: “It’s a project that feels very personal as well as something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.

“Bringing it to life has been such a special experience, and I can’t wait to welcome people into the store.”

The shop is now welcoming customers and also provides an e-commerce platform for buyers beyond the local area.
