A road in Oxford near the BMW Mini Factory remained impassable for multiple hours following an accident involving a delivery truck.

Garsington Road, situated opposite the manufacturing facility, remained shut for much of the daytime period on Tuesday, April 14, due to a Fagan & Whalley delivery vehicle.

Photographs depict the truck positioned across the carriageway, preventing any other vehicles from proceeding.

The occurrence took place at approximately 4pm and officials indicated traffic flow in the Cowley area was not significantly impacted.

Fagan & Whalley operates as a logistics enterprise headquartered in East Lancashire, providing warehousing, distribution and transportation solutions.

Witnesses stated the situation was resolved at approximately 6.45pm and traffic has resumed normal movement along the route.

One individual described the recovery operation as happening with reasonable speed.
