An elderly resident at a care facility in Oxfordshire passed away after experiencing a fall, according to proceedings at an inquest hearing.
Audrey Joan Surman, a resident of Oxford, lost her life at Meadowcroft Care Home in Thame on April 9.
Area coroner Nicholas Graham conducted the opening of the inquest regarding the 100-year-old’s passing at Oxfordshire Coroner’s Court on Thursday, April 16.
The hearing was informed that Mrs Surman had previously held a position as a peripatetic supervisor.
Reports indicate she sustained an accidental fall.
The treating clinician has listed fractured neck of femur, frailty and Alzheimer’s Dementia as the cause of death.
The matter has been postponed for a comprehensive inquest scheduled to take place at Oxfordshire Coroner’s Court on July 15 at 2pm.
