Police have concluded their investigation into an incident where a taxi crashed into a house in Banbury during last year’s summer months.

A vehicle hit the side of a parked white Peugeot taxi on Woodgreen Avenue, according to earlier reports.

The collision forced the taxi into the adjoining property, causing considerable damage to the brickwork on the outside of the building.

Nobody was hurt in the crash, although the road stayed sealed off for most of Monday, August 18 the previous year while officers carried out their enquiries.

Two people were arrested at the scene of the collision, with another two picked up shortly afterwards.

All four individuals held in custody were released on conditional bail as detectives pursued their investigation.

Thames Valley Police has now announced that no further action will be taken.

A force representative stated that everyone who had been detained had been freed with no further legal steps ahead. The representative added that every possible line of inquiry had been fully explored before the case was marked as closed.
