Emergency services responded to an incident in Oxford on Friday evening, April 17, resulting in partial road closures.

The section of Magdalen Bridge in the direction of The Plain roundabout was blocked off by authorities around 11pm last night.

Officers established the closure near Magdalen Tower, where multiple emergency vehicles were positioned.

Motorists were instructed to navigate around the restricted zone by using the opposite lane of the roadway.

One witness, preferring to remain anonymous, reported observing both police vehicles and ambulances at the location.

Thames Valley Police chose not to provide any details regarding the situation.

Magdalen Tower sits at the terminus of Oxford High Street, where the street transitions into Magdalen Bridge prior to its intersection with The Plain roundabout.
