The Oxford Mail Camera Club has been embracing the vibrant arrival of spring.
That served as their most recent weekly challenge, with members sharing numerous eye-catching images of spring blossoms – featuring bluebells, cherry blossom, daffodils and tulips.
Creatures from the natural world also appeared, with photographers capturing deer, robins and red kites as popular subjects.
Selecting a winner for the weekly feature proved challenging, though Anne Rixon’s macro photograph depicting red and yellow tulips swaying in the wind ultimately earned the distinction.
Every week, participants receive a creative prompt and subsequently share their work on the club’s Facebook community.
A collection of submissions appears in both the Oxford Mail and The Oxford Times publications, with a single image designated as the weekly standout.
Members have been curating an entirely fresh roster of weekly topics for the year ahead, with waterways up next as the forthcoming theme.
