The former Top Gear host came across trespassers at his rural Oxfordshire estate in the Cotswolds who were handling his cows.

Clarkson runs Diddly Squat Farm close to Chipping Norton, where he lives and records his Amazon Prime Video reality programme following his life as a farmer.

The land, along with its shop and café, has become a major destination for visitors in the Cotswolds, attracting people from across the country to this normally quiet rural area.

The TV star posted on X after dealing with trespassers who had entered his property without permission and were touching his animals.

The message was shared on April 24, 2026.

His response was aimed at an earlier post from Dr Nick Wilson, which complained about walkers failing to close gates properly, resulting in ewes and lambs being in the spring barley fields. The post called on people who cannot follow the Countryside Code to stay away.

That post included a photograph showing livestock spread across various fields with the gate left open.

Clarkson is bringing his farming programme back to screens this summer when season five of Clarkson’s Farm launches on Prime Video.

The first instalments will air on Wednesday, June 3, with further episodes coming out in the following weeks.
