An Oxford local has acknowledged carrying out an attack that left another person needing medical attention.

Nigel Savill, aged 48 and residing in The Slade area of Oxford, appeared at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on April 13.

He submitted a guilty plea to one count of section 20 grievous bodily harm without intent.

Court documents named the victim as Mark Marshall, and Savill is due to be sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on May 12.

The incident took place on April 12 along The Slade.

An individual who was present at the location described seeing roughly seven patrol cars, a critical care response unit, and an ambulance gathered nearby the junction with Wood Farm Road.

Photographs taken at the scene show multiple emergency service vehicles and a person being assisted into a police car.

A police representative had earlier indicated that the ambulance service got in touch with the force at 12.55pm regarding a wounded man on The Slade.

The man, in his 50s, was taken to hospital.

A 48-year-old man from Oxford was arrested on suspicion of assault and stayed in custody.
