Oxfordshire is set to see additional disabled parking spots established in various locations throughout the county.

The local authority has given the go-ahead for modifications to disabled parking provisions, including both additions and removals.

Oxfordshire County Council has given approval for the implementation of new disabled parking bays following feedback from local residents.

In Banbury, the new disabled parking locations will include Abbey Road, Angus Close, Arundel Place, Bretch Hill, Guernsey Way, High Furlong, Penrhyn Close, and Union Street.

Bicester will receive new disabled parking facilities at Hertford Close, Langford Gardens, and Leach Road.

Further disabled parking spots are planned for Queen Street and Wytham View in Eynsham.

The council will additionally assess disabled parking provisions in Carterton, Croperdy, Hanwell, Milton under Wychwood and Woodstock.

In contrast, several disabled parking bays will be taken away because current users have relocated or no longer need them. These include the bays at Devon Way and Withycombe Drive in Banbury.

Removal is also scheduled for the disabled parking spaces at The Paddocks in Deddington and Gloucester Place in Witney.

The council will consider making permanent the disabled parking space on Acre End Street in Eynsham, while declining to remove the space on Edmunds Road in Banbury.

The disabled parking space on Portway in Banbury has been postponed pending additional review.
