A 33-year-old Oxford resident is to stand trial after being charged in connection with an e-bike theft at a fast food outlet.

Thames Valley Police announced that following their inquiries, the accused, who lives on Luther Street, will appear before Oxford Magistrates’ Court at the start of July.

The charge relates to an incident in which an electric bicycle was taken from outside the chicken shop on Queen Street last month.

According to a force representative, the investigation concluded with charges being filed against the individual for taking the electric bike from the Popeyes branch at around 8pm on Tuesday, April 14.

Daniel Robinson, a 33-year-old from Luther Street in Oxford, faces a single theft count.

He has been granted conditional release and is scheduled to attend the local magistrates’ court on July 2.
