A hospitality business is seeking permission to serve drinks and provide musical entertainment at a riverside estate in the Thames Valley.

Henley Regatta stands as a major fixture for the community, scheduled annually at the beginning of July.

The sporting event welcomes over 300,000 visitors across six days, featuring rowing competitors from prestigious British universities and international teams.

This year’s edition runs from Tuesday, June 30, through Sunday, July 5.

Field Vision Bars Ltd has submitted a request to serve alcoholic beverages, play recorded tracks, and present live performances in the garden of Old Blades residence during the Regatta period.

Old Blades occupies Remenham Lane in Remenham, situated along the eastern riverside of the Thames within Berkshire.

The company is requesting authorization for drink sales, entertainment, and extended trading hours from 9am to 11pm on Sunday, and from 9am until 12.30am throughout the remaining days of Regatta week.

The submission has been filed with Wokingham Borough Council, which serves as the licensing authority for the Remenham area.

A formal consultation period is currently underway. Comments may be sent to licensing@wokingham.gov.uk, quoting reference number PR0566.

Objections must contain the sender’s full name and residential address, and the council’s licensing officers recommend including a contact telephone number and email address.

The consultation deadline falls on Monday, April 6.
