A 49-year-old individual from Wantage has been taken into custody on allegations of child sexual offenses in an Oxfordshire town.
The suspect was detained on Sunday, April 19, in Wantage close to his residential address, facing accusations of communicating sexually with a minor, distributing indecent material, and soliciting indecent images.
Thames Valley Police has declined to verify the detention, stating they could not provide statements on the matter because of safeguarding issues.
This occurrence took place concurrently with the hearing of Colin Robertson, a convicted paedophile from Begbroke, at Oxford Crown Court on Friday, April 17.
Robertson admitted guilt to two charges of attempting to establish sexual communication with a child and one charge of attempting to persuade or encourage a child to participate in sexual activity.
He received a two-year custodial sentence, with the execution of the term suspended for a period of two years.
