A motorcyclist has died after a collision in south Oxfordshire.

The rider was on a blue Kawasaki when the incident occurred on Wantage Road north of Streatley, located between Goring and Wallingford.

Emergency services, including police officers and ambulance staff, attended the scene at approximately 7:50am on Friday, April 24.

The motorcyclist, a man in his sixties, died from injuries sustained in the crash. His family has been informed and is receiving support from Thames Valley Police officers.

Officers have not revealed what the rider struck in the collision. Further details are being sought.

The investigation is being led by Police Sergeant Rob Oliver-Clayson from Thames Valley Police, who is asking potential witnesses to come forward.

He expressed his sincere sympathies to the man’s family and said anyone who may have seen the collision or events leading up to it should get in touch.

He stated that any information or footage that could assist the investigation would be helpful, and dash-cam recordings could be uploaded through their online system.
