Published on

A children’s charity located in Oxfordshire may soon have its work showcased on a double-decker vehicle.

The Mulberry Bush, situated in Witney, has secured a place among the ten finalists in the Oxford Bus Company’s Brand the Bus initiative, which provides charities with the opportunity to have their mission displayed on a bus.

The victorious organisation will be awarded a prize package valued at £100,000.

Russell McIver, senior fundraising manager at The Mulberry Bush, expressed his organisation’s enthusiasm about reaching the final ten.

He noted that whichever charity secures first place, the effect of this award would be substantial.

He added that the £100,000 prize package presents an exceptional chance for large numbers of people to learn about the essential work being carried out by charities throughout Oxfordshire within their local areas.

The Mulberry Bush was among seventy-one organisations that submitted entries for the competition.

According to Oxford Bus Company, almost nine thousand votes from the public were tallied to establish the ten shortlisted candidates.

The shortlist comprises Age UK Oxfordshire, Alzheimer’s Society, Cure DHDDS, FarmAbility, Opportunity International, Oxford City Farm, Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary, Sobell House Hospice, and SUDEP.

The ultimate selection will now be undertaken by a panel of judges.

The winning charity will have its branding appear on a double-decker bus.
