A garden centre is providing a flower-themed afternoon tea to mark one of Britain’s most celebrated horticulture occasions.
Yarnton Garden Centre has introduced a Chelsea Flower Show-inspired afternoon tea, complete with floral-themed bakes, refined sandwiches, and freshly made scones.
Rebecca Gurnett, group events manager at Blue Diamond Group, stated: “RHS Chelsea Flower Show is one of the cherished highlights of our year and we’re delighted to celebrate the event with our customers.”

The dessert selection comprises a miniature fruit meringue nest, a carrot and vanilla mascarpone cupcake, a raspberry crème brûlée toadstool tart, and a chocolate marquise plant pot finished with chocolate “soil”.
Sandwich fillings feature traditional choices including tuna and cucumber, Coronation chicken, ham and mustard, egg mayonnaise, and cheese and pickle.
The afternoon tea costs £25.95 per person. It runs from Monday, May 18, through Sunday, May 24. Reservations can be made online now at https://events.bluediamond.gg/branches.
The Chelsea Flower Show takes place this year from May 19 to 23 at the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London.
Last year, the Blue Diamond Group secured its inaugural gold medal at the event, alongside the distinguished Tree of Show award.
