A scenic ramble through Oxfordshire that concludes at a traditional inn has earned a spot among Britain’s most stunning walking routes according to Country Living.

The compilation showcases trails that can be conveniently reached from the capital by rail, featuring paths throughout Kent, Sussex, Buckinghamshire and additional counties.

Country Living noted these walks offer gentle terrain through some of the South East’s most attractive scenery, complemented by traditional inns, vineyards and villages that could have been taken straight from a picture postcard.

The Charlbury Circular trail made the selection, guiding hikers to The Bull establishment in the town.

A person who completed this trail remarked that it was a thoroughly enjoyable countryside stroll with pleasant vistas, beginning and ending in the delightful village of Charlbury which boasts several excellent establishments, with The Bull being particularly welcoming and serving superb meals. The path was quite muddy in sections, so attempting it during winter without Wellington boots or waterproof hiking footwear is inadvisable.
