Emergency services responded to calls regarding a disturbance in the heart of Oxford on the evening of May 22.
Authorities were dispatched to Bonn Square following reports that came through radio communications.
After interviewing those concerned, the case was suspended until such time as fresh evidence emerges.
A representative from Thames Valley Police explained that officers arrived at the scene at approximately 7.30pm following notification of an assault.
The officers made contact with the parties concerned. No one sustained injuries and no one was taken into custody.
The matter will be placed on hold until additional details surface.
