Sydney Sweeney has reportedly explored buying a Cotswolds residence while considering a move from the United States to Little Tew in Oxfordshire.
The 29-year-old actress is said to be weighing a future in which she divides her time between Britain and America.
Property viewing in the area is reported to have taken place within the past three months, following two visits to the Cotswolds over the previous ten months.
A source familiar with the situation said Sweeney was drawn to the region’s quiet rural environment and felt comfortable being recognised by residents accustomed to encountering prominent figures.
Pinewood Studios, described as roughly an hour away, was also cited as a practical advantage if she secured filming work.
Sweeney has been associated with Amazon MGM Studios’ planned James Bond reboot, although casting has not been officially confirmed.
A reported relocation would place her among numerous celebrities who own property in or have other links to the Cotswolds.
Jeremy Clarkson lives near Chadlington, where he operates Diddly Squat Farm and The Farmer’s Dog.
David and Victoria Beckham also have a house in the region.
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have relocated there, while James Blunt and television presenter Claudia Winkleman are among other well-known figures connected with the area.
Demand from overseas purchasers has continued to rise across the Cotswolds.
Estate agent Savills reportedly supplied figures showing that international buyers made up just over one fifth of transactions involving properties valued at £1.5 million or more during the previous year.
Purchasers from North America accounted for 13 per cent of sales within that price range.
Sweeney is understood to be discussing the possibility with her boyfriend, Scooter Braun, 45.
The pair reportedly met at the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez in 2025.
The actress has previous experience of the Cotswolds after celebrating Christmas in the district and staying at Soho Farmhouse.
She subsequently posted photographs from the visit on social media, including images of herself riding a horse.
Her stays in Britain have included periods spent working on a screen version of Edith Wharton’s 1913 novel The Custom of the Country with Leo Woodall, who also appeared in The White Lotus.
Local reaction to the reported plans was positive.
One resident said seeing a famous personality in the village would be welcome and described Sweeney as a lovely woman.
Another said the picturesque surroundings and presence of other celebrities would help a newcomer feel at home.
