Sanitary bins installed in men’s toilets at two Witney venues for greater inclusion

Published on

Men’s toilets at two public venues managed by Witney Town Council now include sanitary disposal bins.

The installations were made following discussions with a local resident who is also involved in the Boys Need Bins campaign.

The campaign advocates improved access to facilities for disposing of continence products, including stoma bags and incontinence pads.

During a committee meeting, councillors were informed that inadequate provision of these facilities can significantly affect quality of life.

The effects are particularly significant for people living with conditions such as Crohn’s disease and colitis.

The bins at the Corn Exchange and Burwell Hall supplement arrangements already available in women’s and disabled toilets at both venues, extending access to sanitary disposal facilities and supporting greater inclusion.
