A comedian and television personality who joined the cast of the reality mystery series featuring celebrities has paid tribute to her on-screen persona by visiting the final resting place of the author who created the character.

The second series of the game show, which involves participants attempting to identify infiltrators among them, debuted on BBC One earlier this month.

The programme is presented by Claudia Winkleman and brings together well-known figures including Richard E.

Grant, Michael Sheen, James Blunt and Rob Beckett.

Among the contestants adopting assumed identities for the competition, one participant chose to present herself as the iconic fictional investigator upon her introduction to viewers.

The entertainer Miranda Hart adopted the persona of Miss Marple during her initial appearance and has performed well during the opening episodes while maintaining this character.

Miss Marple originates from a collection of crime novels penned by Agatha Christie, one of the most celebrated mystery writers in literary history.

Christie earned the nickname Queen of Crime due to the 66 detective novels she authored throughout her career.

The celebrated novelist resided for many years at Winterbrook House in the vicinity of Wallingford, located in Oxfordshire.

Following her death, she was interred in the churchyard of St Mary’s Church in the village of Cholsey.

Hart recently made a pilgrimage to Christie’s graveside location, sharing photographs from the windswept visit on her social media accounts.

She explained that the weather had affected her appearance, noted the importance of occasionally stepping away from demanding situations, and mentioned that her portrayal of the detective character had prompted the journey to honour Christie.
