A full council session in Witney is scheduled to examine the West Oxfordshire Local Plan 2043 along with several other significant items when members convene next month.

The gathering will occur at the Corn Exchange venue in Witney on October 12, commencing at 7pm.

Councillors will review proposals concerning improvements to Witney’s shopping district and town centre, alongside the Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan and assessments of the 20mph speed limit implementation.

The upcoming agenda also encompasses the Oxfordshire Road Casualty Report 2025, community policing matters, and the OXBus 2040 initiative along with broader transportation discussions.

Council members will further consider the Community Asset Acquisition and Management Policy, health and safety reports, and updates from various council committees.

Residents’ concerns and correspondence will be addressed during the session, with representatives from Oxfordshire County Council and West Oxfordshire District Council providing their respective updates to assembled members.

Those wishing to observe proceedings may attend in person and contribute during the Public Participation segment.

Documentation pertaining to the meeting, including all supporting reports, can be accessed via the council’s official online platform.
