The run of more than forty performances will commemorate the fortieth anniversary of the band’s breakthrough debut record.
A concert has been confirmed for Oxford New Theatre on October 5, 2027.
The announcement follows the group’s recent touring activity.
The record Popped In Souled Out emerged in 1987 and transformed the Glasgow-based group into an international act.
The work accumulated over seventy weeks on the British album chart and achieved multi-platinum certification.
Founding bassist Graeme Clark addressed the milestone during the announcement.
According to Clark, the project originated from a young musician’s creative impulses, and decades later those compositions have developed their own identity.
The upcoming concerts represent an opportunity to revisit the collection’s origins while acknowledging the subsequent musical evolution.
The performances are intended as a return to the original material with the benefit of extensive professional experience.
The group continued building their reputation throughout the late 1980s and 1990s with additional successful releases.
