Russell & Atwell, a chocolate-making business co-established by Steve Russell and Giles Atwell, was showcased during a recent episode of the ITV1 programme Cotswold Kitchen, hosted by Dame Prue Leith.
The segment formed part of the broadcaster’s Food Heroes series, with the episode scheduled for transmission on Saturday, August 29 at 8.25am.
Both founders bring extensive expertise from major confectionery brands, having collectively spent over four decades working for companies including Cadbury, Milka, Green & Black’s, and Godiva before departing from the corporate world to establish their own artisan fresh chocolate company.
Giles Atwell explained that as an independent enterprise, maintaining secrecy around their fresh chocolate production methods had previously been essential for safeguarding their recipes.
He noted that the invitation to appear on Cotswold Kitchen presented an unmissable opportunity to demonstrate their enthusiasm for fresh chocolate directly to Dame Prue Leith and the programme’s audience.
Steve Russell described the experience of allowing the production team access to their workshop as thoroughly enjoyable, providing a valuable chance to reveal the careful craftsmanship, ingredient sourcing, and technical skill involved in producing their fresh chocolate range.
