Channel 4 is preparing for the upcoming series of the popular baking competition.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Nigella Lawson would become a judge on the long-running programme, taking over from Dame Prue Leith who departed after almost ten years in the role.
Audiences can anticipate seeing Lawson bring her characteristic enthusiasm and culinary expertise to the famous white marquee, with an official premiere date set to be disclosed shortly.
A promotional clip reveals veteran judge Paul Hollywood sampling something, before fellow presenters Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond make their entrance.
Lawson subsequently appears alongside them, marking her first appearance in the iconic tent.
The broadcaster Radio Times obtained exclusive access to behind-the-scenes footage from the new series, providing viewers with an initial glimpse of Lawson working within the Bake Off marquee.
Lawson previously stated her eagerness about joining the programme, describing herself as filled with excitement.
She acknowledged the challenge of succeeding Dame Prue Leith and Mary Berry before her, describing both as remarkable figures.
Lawson characterised the programme as a national institution and expressed gratitude for the chance to contribute to it.
She conveyed her enthusiasm about working with the production team and upcoming contestants, extended well-wishes to her predecessor, and thanked those responsible for the opportunity.
Hammond had previously hinted at the chemistry viewers could expect between Lawson and Hollywood.
During an interview on the Lorraine programme in May, Hammond indicated that filming had commenced and described the dynamic between the pair as remarkable.
She referred to a large image of the two judges displayed on screen, commenting on their appearance and noting that their occasional disagreements would create compelling television.
Hammond also expressed her personal regard for Lawson, describing her as pleasant and remarkable.
Hammond has co-hosted the programme since 2020, when she succeeded Matt Lucas.
Leith revealed her decision to leave the programme in January, having previously stated that no superior position existed.
She responded positively to Lawson’s appointment, describing her successor as personable, glamorous, intelligent, and charismatic.
Leith also noted that she was pleased Lawson had not been a candidate for the role nine years earlier.
Lawson studied at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University, located in the north of the city.
She pursued a degree in Modern Languages, served as editor of the student publication Isis, rescued the magazine from financial difficulties, and completed her studies in 1979.
During a 2018 appearance at the New Theatre, she discussed how her time in Oxford shaped her development as a culinary professional.
She described regularly visiting the Covered Market to purchase provisions such as onions and sausages, preparing numerous dishes and developing a particular skill for French onion soup.
She recounted that while residing in Walton Crescent, she would occasionally take liqueurs and cheese from fellow residents to incorporate into her cooking, including Benedictine on one occasion.
She reflected that this period helped her recognise her enjoyment of providing food for others, despite dining out being less common at that time.
The specific broadcast date for the new series has not yet been officially confirmed by Channel 4.
The programme is manufactured by Love Productions for transmission on Channel 4, with amateur bakers from throughout the United Kingdom competing in the competition.
