An animal has been destroyed following a canine assault in a district of Oxford.
Two animals, identified as a Staffordshire bullterrier and a cane corso, were implicated in the occurrence in the Old Marston area.
Neither breed appears on the schedule of breeds prohibited under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
Local residents in the neighbourhood expressed concern following the incident.
The local authority confirmed that one of the animals had been destroyed.
