Thames Valley Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following an incident in Wallingford on Saturday evening.
A woman was reportedly pursued by a male along Wantage Road in the Oxfordshire town.
The encounter occurred on September 5 at approximately 8pm.
Officers from the South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse district confirmed that a man has been taken into police custody in connection with the matter.
The force is now urging members of the public who may have information about the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.
