Thames Valley Police is opening the doors of its Sulhamstead training facility to members of the public for a summer open day event.
The gathering is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 19, between the hours of 10am and 4pm at the centre located near Reading.
Residents from Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Milton Keynes have been invited to attend the free event, which provides an insight into contemporary policing operations.
Deputy Chief Constable Ben Snuggs expressed enthusiasm about welcoming local communities to the occasion.
He explained that the open day offers valuable opportunities for members of the public to interact with officers, staff members, and volunteers who form part of Thames Valley Police.
Visitors would gain understanding about the broad scope of duties carried out by the force in serving residents across the region.
Snuggs stated that attendees should anticipate an enjoyable programme featuring demonstrations, interactive exhibits, and chances to engage with representatives from various departments.
He emphasized the force’s commitment to public service and looked forward to greeting visitors at the Sulhamstead venue.
Among the attractions confirmed for the day are canine unit demonstrations, performances by the mounted section, displays related to major crime investigations, and access to the Thames Valley Police Museum.
