An application for a new premises licence has been filed in connection with a venue in Oxford.
Gulp Fiction Ltd, which operates an independent bookshop within Oxford’s Covered Market, is seeking authorisation to sell alcohol and provide musical entertainment, both in recorded and live formats.
Performances of live music would primarily take place inside the establishment, though occasional outdoor shows are also proposed.
The submission has been made pursuant to section 17 of the Licensing Act 2003.
Documentation relating to the application is available for public examination at Oxford City Council’s licensing register during standard operating hours.
The paperwork may also be accessed electronically through the council’s official website.
Members of the public who wish to raise concerns about the application must submit their observations in writing, clearly identifying which of the licensing objectives their comments address.
Written representations should be directed to the Licensing Authority at Oxford City Council and received no later than October 7.
Applicants are reminded that deliberately or carelessly providing misleading information in connection with a licence request constitutes a criminal offence, potentially resulting in an unlimited financial penalty upon conviction in a magistrates’ court.
