A four-wheel-drive vehicle has been reported in connection with an alleged illegal hunting operation in Oxfordshire.
Thames Valley Police confirmed that the sports utility vehicle was observed in agricultural land adjacent to Icknield Road in the vicinity of South Stoke during the evening of Friday, September 18.
Officers stated that the activity involved lamping, a controversial nighttime hunting technique employing intense artificial lighting to disorient and detect wildlife.
According to authorities, a black Jeep Cherokee was detected at approximately 23:30 on the evening in question.
The vehicle subsequently departed at speed in an unsafe manner, heading generally towards Benson.
