The initiative coincides with the release of the retailer’s UK Proposal Map, a guide identifying 15 of the most sought-after engagement locations across the country.

The data informing the map was compiled from Instagram hashtag usage, providing inspiration for those planning future proposals in visually appealing settings.

She explained that the competition serves as an invitation for couples to recount where their engagement took place, with one fortunate pair to be awarded their wedding jewellery from Beaverbrooks.

Haddon noted that the company’s century-long experience in assisting couples commemorate pivotal life moments enables them to support one fortunate couple as they progress towards marriage.

The Lake District emerged as the most favoured romantic destination, while the London Eye and Tower Bridge ranked second and third respectively.

Those wishing to participate must submit their engagement narrative via the Beaverbrooks website by 25 September.
