A 43-year-old man has entered a guilty plea to an affray charge related to a disturbance that occurred following a football fixture in Oxfordshire.
David Swales acknowledged the offence at Oxford Crown Court on Tuesday, September 22.
The incident took place after a league encounter between Banbury United and AFC Telford United on April 12, a match that ended in a goalless draw.
Swales, whose address was listed as Marton Drive in Wellington, Telford, had initially denied the affray charge but subsequently altered his plea to one of guilt.
Sentencing proceedings have been scheduled for September 30.
The Crown prosecution has been granted additional time to determine whether an application for a football banning order will be made.
Such an order, if imposed, would prohibit Swales from attending football matches for a specified duration.
