An award-winning magician is set to bring his latest production to an Oxfordshire venue, having committed to delivering what he describes as genuine illusion to local audiences.
Danny Lee Grew is scheduled to perform at the Witney Corn Exchange on October 10 as part of his current national tour.
The entertainer guarantees audiences an extraordinary evening of what he calls proper magical performance.
His craft centres on highly visual illusions, so convincing that spectators would typically dismiss such effects as camera tricks if witnessed through a screen.
Before pursuing magic professionally, Grew operated within the National Health Service as a clinical support officer, providing assistance during minor surgical procedures and applying dressings to patients.
He developed his conjuring abilities by performing for fellow staff members and those under his care before transitioning to magic as his primary occupation.
His subsequent career has encompassed television appearances, pantomime productions, support work for stand-up comedians, headline residencies at holiday destinations, cruise ship entertainment, and performances at fringe festivals worldwide.
Noteworthy figures who have experienced his craft include David Beckham, James Corden and Stormzy.
His current production carries the title 24K Magic and is now heading to Witney.
Grew maintains that magic represents one of those uncommon art forms that truly shines when presented live.
He explains that witnessing such feats in person, with no opportunity for editing or camera trickery, tends to surprise audiences considerably.
Grew was recently honoured with the title Stage Magician of the Year by the International Brotherhood of Magicians.
