Police continue their search for a man suspected of a serious assault in Barton that occurred more than a fortnight ago.
Arthur McDonagh, aged 33 and from Oxford, remains wanted by Thames Valley Police in connection with the incident that took place on North Way on August 17.
Emergency services attended the scene, leading to a partial road closure as officers conducted their inquiries.
The search began following an emergency call to Barton Village Road at approximately 11:10 on the morning of the attack.
Investigators discovered a damaged white pickup truck abandoned nearby, bearing signs of significant impact and visible traces of what looked like blood.
Broken glass littered the surrounding area, and the vehicle remained within the police cordon while forensic work was carried out.
Early reports indicated several weapons may have been involved, though police have since stated their findings contradict those initial assumptions.
Officers have indicated that blades, bats and other similar implements do not appear to have been used.
One individual sustained injuries requiring hospital treatment and was later described as being in a stable condition.
