David Cameron was present at Jeremy Clarkson’s Cotswolds establishment as filming commenced for the upcoming season on September 5.
The 59-year-old peer, who represented the Witney constituency for 15 years, was observed consuming Hawkstone stout at the venue located near Chipping Norton.
Cameron, who led the Conservative Party before entering the House of Lords, participated in activities connected to the Hawkstone Harvest Festival, an event incorporated into the Clarkson’s Farm series.
According to reports, Cameron observed that Clarkson has effectively raised awareness about agricultural concerns affecting rural communities.
He noted that Clarkson’s efforts have had greater impact on farming than those of other recent public figures.
Cameron also endorsed the Hawkstone Farmers Choir concept, describing it as particularly meaningful, and mentioned finding their performances deeply moving.
Simultaneously, the Hawkstone Farmers Choir and Hawkstone Brewery announced a combined contribution of £100,000 to charitable causes supporting mental health and agriculture.
The choir secured their position in the ITV programme’s finale in May, ultimately winning the £250,000 prize.
A £50,000 payment was presented at the establishment on the same occasion when Cameron was present.
The brewery contributed an additional £50,000 to Shout, a mental health support organisation with which they have collaborated since 2024.
This funding establishes a dedicated pathway enabling agricultural workers to utilise Shout’s text-based mental health services.
