A gourmet burger brand has announced temporary shutdowns at multiple locations throughout the United Kingdom.

Beefy Boys is closing several branches, including its Oxford venue, to enable employees to attend an annual celebration.

The Oxford establishment, situated on the upper level of the Westgate shopping complex, will be inaccessible to customers on Monday 7 September, resuming normal operations the following day.

Alongside the Oxford site, outlets in Hereford, Shrewsbury, Cheltenham, Bath and Nottingham will also cease trading for the event.

In remarks provided to customers, the company indicated that the temporary closures allow workers to enjoy their well-earned party.

The Exeter branch continues operating during its introductory phase, accommodating pre-arranged tasting sessions with invited guests.

Management expressed regret for any disruption caused and suggested that those unable to visit should secure future reservations.

Regular trading was set to resume on Tuesday from noon.

The business traces its origins to 2011, when four lifelong companions established the brand following a gathering in a domestic garden setting.

The company secured a fourth-place finish at the 2024 World Food Championships held in Indianapolis.

Additionally, the brand claimed both Best Burger and Best Burger Chef accolades at the 2023 National Burger Awards.

The team published their first cookbook in 2024.

Titled From Backyard BBQs to World-Class Burgers, the publication reached the top of Amazon’s bestseller rankings and peaked at position three in The Sunday Times charts.

Renowned for its smashed patty technique and premium grass-fed beef sourced from Herefordshire, the company continues offering signature dishes including the classic Beefy Boy Burger, the acclaimed Oklahoma Onion Boy, the Dirty Boy, and the distinctive Peanut Butter and Jelly Boy.
