A community in northern Oxfordshire has secured a prize in the Postcode Lottery following a recent draw.
The announcement was made on Friday 5 September, with households in the affected area receiving £1,000 each.
The victorious postcode was OX17 3FN, encompassing The Robbins in Adderbury, a village located close to Banbury.
This particular postcode was one of 21 that emerged successful during the lottery’s daily selection process.
Ticket holders residing within the winning postcode zone who possessed valid entries were each awarded £1,000.
A portion of revenue generated through Postcode Lottery subscriptions is directed toward charitable causes across the United Kingdom, with at least 33 per cent of ticket purchase income allocated to good causes.
Each day, the lottery selects 20 postcodes nationwide, with each selected area awarding £1,000 per ticket held by residents.
