Oxford Victorian Christmas Market starts November 12

An outdoor market featuring culinary offerings and beverages has been operating in Broad Street, Oxford.

The Oxford Food and Drink Festival commenced on October 9 and concluded the previous Sunday.

Oxford City Council appointed LSD Promotions to coordinate the street festivals, with vendor stalls positioned along the section of Broad Street nearest to Cornmarket.

Local traders on Broad Street have grown accustomed to hosting outdoor market events during the autumn period.

The upcoming event on the calendar is the Oxford Victorian Christmas Market, scheduled from Thursday, November 12 through Sunday, November 15.

Subsequently, the principal Christmas market will be established in Broad Street, operated by Keston Events, a company that has managed the event in recent years.

The main Christmas market opens on Saturday, November 21 and continues throughout the month of December, concluding on Thursday, December 31.

The Christmas market has occupied Broad Street for many years, though operational responsibility has transferred to different organisations in recent times.

Vendor stalls offer produce including sausages and warmed spiced wine alongside other seasonal refreshments.

A temporary drinking establishment designed to resemble an Alpine lodge, spanning two floors, accompanies the market stalls.
