A complimentary transport service will operate for those attending the Harcourt Arboretum Autumn Fair later this month, with Oxford Bus Company providing the shuttle arrangement.

The dedicated service will convey passengers from the Redbridge Park and Ride facility in Oxford directly to the event, which is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, at the arboretum situated in Nuneham Courtenay.

Luke Marion, managing director at Oxford Bus Company, expressed enthusiasm about the continued partnership.

He noted that the Harcourt Arboretum ranks among Oxfordshire’s most significant visitor destinations, while the annual Autumn Fair consistently attracts substantial attendance.

Marion highlighted that patrons could travel in an environmentally conscious manner, completing the approximately 15-minute trip from Redbridge Park and Ride to the arboretum entrance with direct drop-off at the site.

The event programme extends from 10am until 4pm, with final admission permitted at 3pm.

Attendees can anticipate a comprehensive schedule of autumn-themed pursuits and amusement throughout the day.

Heidi El-Megrisi, head of operations for Oxford Botanic Garden and Arboretum, remarked that the Autumn Fair presents an ideal occasion to appreciate the striking seasonal foliage at the site, with the Acer Glade particularly showcasing an impressive array of crimson, amber, and golden hues.

She conveyed anticipation for greeting visitors across all age groups for a day of family-oriented entertainment and activities set against the backdrop of the arboretum’s distinctive seasonal character.

Alternative transport options remain available, as the River Rapids X40 service connects Oxford city centre with Reading at 30-minute intervals, calling at Nuneham Courtenay where the arboretum is located.
