Thames Valley Police have published a photograph of a man who has been imprisoned for a series of offences against his former partner.
Christopher Dunbabin carried out three separate attacks on the woman during a seven-month period spanning from October last year to May this year.
The defendant, aged 43 and residing in Reedmace Road, Bicester, entered guilty pleas to charges of common assault, intentional suffocation, and two incidents of property destruction.
Sentencing took place at Oxford Crown Court during September.
The prosecution outlined that the initial assault occurred on October 12 of the previous year, during which Dunbabin struck his ex-partner about the head.
Following the attack, he expressed remorse and implored her to avoid contacting authorities.
The victim managed to flee the property and secure herself within a bathroom.
On April 18, a second confrontation erupted between them.
The court was informed that Dunbabin shoved the woman onto a settee before applying pressure to her throat, causing difficulty with respiration.
The victim subsequently entered her vehicle, with Dunbabin occupying the passenger seat.
Despite requests to exit the car, he declined and then struck the windscreen, causing it to shatter.
A third incident unfolded on May 4, when Dunbabin prepared a meal but prevented the woman from dining at the table.
She retreated upstairs, where he continued to shout and seized her necklace, fracturing it.
Court proceedings revealed his prior history of physical violence against the same individual.
The presiding judge imposed an 18-month custodial sentence.
No protective order was issued following the conviction.
