Thames Valley Police has provided an update on its investigation into the theft of 11 sheep from a farm in Oxfordshire.
The incident, which was initially reported nearly two weeks earlier, remains under active investigation with no resolution yet.
The 66-year-old presenter of a popular Amazon Prime agricultural reality programme discovered the livestock missing during early September when he conducted a headcount of his flock in Chadlington alongside a co-star.
He subsequently contacted authorities to report the theft and expressed frustration regarding the incident.
During an interview with The Sun newspaper, the former motoring programme presenter described how he navigated 700 hours of recorded messages before successfully reaching a contact at the police station.
He noted that the report would likely sound unusual, as he explained that some of his sheep had been taken.
The presenter reportedly stated that he had warned those responsible, indicating that the farm was defended and that he was extremely irritated by the theft.
He clarified that the animals held a market value exceeding £2,000 and expressed concern that additional sheep in other enclosed areas of the property might also have been removed.
Series five of the programme, produced by Prime Video, documents daily operations at the farm.
Police confirmed on Tuesday, September 15, that the animals remain missing as inquiries proceed.
A force representative stated that the sheep had not been located and investigations were ongoing.
